Attorney Shani Reid
Although born in Chicago, Attorney Reid calls Georgia home as her father grew up in Blakely, a town with a current population of approximately 4,652 (as of 2019.) She attended the former Avondale High School and graduated Valedictorian.
Desiring to remain close to family, she continued her education at Agnes Scott College. Although she enjoyed college, life caused her to shorter her collegiate career and she received her Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Business, Magna Cum Laude, in three years. Following her father, she attended his alma mater, the University of Georgia and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2006.
Attorney Reid spent years filing bankruptcies in the northern (Atlanta) and middle (Macon) District of Georgia; first at at a large metro bankruptcy filer, before becoming an associate at a small firm south of Atlanta. Thereafter, she began working for two of the nations largest disability firms traveling throughout Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
Today, Attorney Reid continues her passion for helping people through her firm. Although the primary practices area is filing bankruptcies, due to her long relationships she has come to assist clients in all other areas of practice. Attorney Reid is passionate about the role of attorneys in society. “Be the lawyer you’d want to have,” is her personal motto and she strives to give her clients a positive experience recognizing that access to the courts is a fundamental right.
